Examination

Examination, Evaluation & Promotion (As per NEP)

  1. The First Year and Second Year examinations for BAMMC and B.Com (Management Studies) are conducted by the college on behalf of the University of Mumbai, while the Third Year (Semester V & VI) examinations are conducted by the University.
  2. The evaluation system follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) under the NEP framework, combining continuous internal assessment and end-semester examinations.
  3. Each course consists of:
    • Internal Assessment (IA) – includes assignments, presentations, class tests, projects, and attendance
    • End Semester Examination (ESE) – conducted at the end of each semester
  4. The performance of students is assessed using the grading system:
    • SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average): Reflects the student’s performance in a particular semester
    • CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average): Reflects the overall performance across all semesters
  5. The programme follows a credit-based structure, with each semester carrying 22 credits, ensuring a balanced academic workload along with skill enhancement and multidisciplinary learning.
  6. Promotion to the Second Year and Third Year is based on the successful completion of required credits and overall performance, as per NEP guidelines and the rules of the University of Mumbai, including provisions for ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms).
  7. Details regarding examinations, schedules, and results will be displayed on the college notice board and official website from time to time.
