A book titled ‘Conference Proceedings’ was released at St Pauls Institute of Communication Education for Women (SPICEFW) on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 by Fr Joby Mathew, (Director -Marketing, St Pauls Publications) and the first copies were distributed to the faculty and staff members of SPICEFW. This book comprises of research articles that were presented at the First One Day National Conference, ‘Revolution of the Algorithmic Society: Digital Trends and Transformations’ conducted by SPICEFWonSaturday,25September2021.

The selected eight research papers published in this book fulfil the requirements of the academic writings. The first research article explored the usage of smartphone among the teenage students in Delhi. The second research paper examined the online journal of the social media platforms and the way it is connected to copyright violations. The third research paper dealt with forensic analysis of algorithms to reduce cyber related crimes on social media platforms. It explored media tools that are used in during forensic analysis. The fourth research paper studied the connection between visual communication learners’ social media habits and exam performance. There is an intrinsic connection between the media habits of the young and their performance in an examination.

The next research article examined the use of artificial intelligence in marketing products and studied the tracking system of the marketing agencies in detail. According to this article, human beings are thus reduced to ‘products’ – that are traced, tracked and sold to. The sixth research paper explored open educational resources for teaching-learning in research activities. It presents a case study of the open educational resources and the way the researcher builds user friendly online library sources. The research paper on education in the realm of new normal examines the need to shape an educational system based on the traditional values built over the years in the academic field. The final research article reflected how food ordering applications are transforming online delivery partners. It is a unique article in the sense that studies the connection between the food ordering Apps and the way it is delivered.

Although, each research paper is special in its own way, it brought out the academic freedom with which the authors gave form to these articles. As this book is the output of the first ever National Conference conducted by SPICEFW, it was deemed as momentous, in line with its mission, ‘to build a vibrant and inclusive learning community in a culture of communication that affects holistic change. And to foster a scientific media environment led by the professionals and acknowledged media experts, using state-of-the-art technology’.
